Meet Our Personal Trainers

The Personal Trainers in CRI’s Fitness program are certified through bodies such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) to assess your fitness goals and design and implement custom programs matched to your needs.

Trey Cannon

I love fitness and have been working out consistently for 3 years now and have never loved it more. I first got into fitness playing high school football where we had to do weight training. At first, I never liked it very much but by the time I finished my senior year I loved it and started working out on my own. I started to learn a lot about fitness and gained interest in personal training and obtained my certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Parker Eberly

I decided to become a PT because I enjoy teaching people and watching them grow to be able to teach others as well. I compete in powerlifting and I also have played many sports in my lifetime. Whether you’re trying to lose a couple of pounds or get in shape for a sport, I’m the guy for you!

Austin Gutierrez

I have been working out since my freshman year in high school. I did not fall in love with it until my junior year when I had a great coach. He inspired me to push myself out of my comfort zone and amazing things happened. I now want to pursue personal training with the hopes of inspiring others to better themselves and see the outcomes they once thought impossible. I am certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and majoring in Exercise Science.

Kevon Mckelvin

For me fitness has always been a part of my life, I did sports as a kid and went to the YMCA all the time. Right now, I do amateur boxing. I didn’t know I loved it until after and during high school. Seeing the changes that it makes for someone for the better really motivated me to push myself harder for a better overall quality of life. For personal training, what inspired me to pursue it was a friend who I helped exercise and lose weight during the COVID-19 pandemic. Helping him made me really enjoy seeing others get better and reach their goals, which is something I want to do for any client that decides to train with me. I am certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Nick Manning

I have always been interested in two things: helping others and physical fitness. My inspiration to pursue personal training was the passing away of my grandfather shortly before I had my son. I wholeheartedly believe had he prioritized his health better, he would have gotten to meet his first ever great grandchild. I hope to help clients achieve all of their specific goals, boost their confidence, and live more fulfilling lives. Some of my hobbies I have are walking my corgi, Bronson, reading, and sharing music and new songs with my brother. I am certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Germar Ladouceur

I am a SCW certified trainer. I’m very passionate about health and fitness and have been training for a few years now. I also love helping people and making a positive impact on their lives. Those aspects of myself made me want to pursue personal training and by working with me I hope for all my clients to become a better version of themselves then they were before in whatever manner of fitness they’re looking to grow in. Some hobbies of mine include working out, playing basketball, making music, and content creation.

Hannah Halavin

As a former soccer player, I transitioned to fitness after my time at Georgia, diving into the gym for two years. I’ve developed a passion for running 5Ks and helping others achieve their goals. Becoming a personal trainer was a natural step for me. I’m passionate about empowering my clients to reach their full potential. Whether your goal is to lose a few pounds or train for a sport, I’m here to support you every step of the way on your journey to success!

William Jennings

My parents have worked out and lived a very active lifestyle. They helped me grasp the ropes of working out and helped change my body since I was a larger kid. At the start of my 6-year journey, I hated working out. But the feeling of improving your body and gaining confidence is something you can’t beat. That gave me reason for loving working out; I want to help others achieve that feeling. I hope my clients achieve confidence in their own ability, have the courage to workout independently, and build the dedication needed to stick to it. I enjoy golfing with friends, playing video games, working out, and watching TV and movies. Recently, I have been trying to get better at cooking, and I have taken a liking to that as well.

Virginia Meritt

My journey into personal training was greatly influenced by my dad, who instilled in me the importance of strength, health, and resilience in every aspect of life. Him showing the power of fitness inspired me to embrace it, and I’ve cherished every moment since. Now, my passion lies in guiding others to experience the same empowerment, helping them discover their own strength and capabilities. When clients train with me, my ultimate goal is for them to not only reach their own fitness goals but also to create a deeper sense of confidence and courage. I want them to feel empowered, knowing they can conquer challenges both in and out of the gym. My hobbies include running, playing the tuba, reading, and going on adventures!

Exercise Behavioral Consulting

In collaboration with the Georgia Southern Sport and Exercise Psychology Graduate Program, Exercise Behavioral Consulting is offered free for Personal Training clients at CRI. This program is offered by Advanced Sport and Exercise Psychology students trained in behavior change, and is completely free and confidential.

With theory and research-based behavioral strategies, our trained consultants design an individualized plan to help you reach your fitness goals. You can meet with your Exercise Behavioral Consultant as frequently as you like, separate from your Personal Training sessions. Your Personal Trainer and your Exercise Behavioral Consultant can collaborate to ensure that you are receiving a comprehensive wellness service, working to strengthen both your mind and your body.

If you are interested in enrolling in this program, ask your Personal Trainer or CRI’s Fitness staff for more information. Contact the EBC program coordinator, Dr. Brandonn Harris, with any additional questions or concerns.
